Lake Duluti is the small Crater Lake situated in Eastern Arusha, its about 20 Minuites drive from Arusha City. It’s Surrounded with thick forest which can be home of Reptiles like Lizard or snakes. The lake itself is sanctuary for the many spp of aquatic bird. The activities around the lake is really interesting, Experince the Canoeing at the lake as well as hike at Duluti forest where by you will get to see different Animals and different plants

Drive back to Arusha at 6:00 pm

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha town just a 20-minute drive from Arusha, in the shadow of Mount Meru lays a crater lake. The Wameru tribe of the area named it Duluti. Lake Duluti is formed inside a volcanic crater and has water throughout the year, mainly from groundwater and seasonal rainfall.

The crater is a subsidiary vent to Mount Meru (4566m) that towers over the lake. You will cross the smooth surface of this small Crater Lake and view birdlife; Giant kingfishers, Fish eagles, Darters and many more. Surrounded by forested crater walls this is a very special and quiet 1,5-hour canoeing experience. View hundreds of cattle egrets returning to an island in the lake to roost for the night.

If walking is your Adventure, then the hike around the crater is very Interesting. A small path leads through the forest that provides enough shade that you can do the walk even in the hottest time of the day

From this location, you have the perfect opportunity to view both forest and water birds. Experienced guides will assist you in identifying all the commonly known birds and trees. Late afternoon you will drive back to your hotel in Arusha overnight or transfer to Airport.
